I am your humble host and servant, Brett Dufault. In my spare time (such as it is), I'll attempt to transform this page into a useful collection of security information for AT&T users. One dream is to have an interactive scan logging area with various search and presentation options.
But then, I also a dream of being incredibly rich, and that hasn't happened yet either. ;-)
As you can see, there's a set of "Quick Links" across the top of the page. If you're looking for anything of interest, these should (hopefully) form a simple way to navigate around the site. The main sections are:
This page. If you're over on one of the other Security pages, this will be a link that takes you back here.
This is your typical list of various TCP and UDP ports, and which services (or trojans) might use them. You can use this to try and figure out what someone might be looking for if your machine is being port-scanned.
Links to various RFCs. An RFC (Request For Comment) is used to document various aspects of the Internet, from low-level things like Ethernet and IP protocols, all the way up to heavy-hitters like transporting mail from one machine to the next. Head over there if you're looking for detailed information on something.
Well, pretty much what it says...these are links to other sites that you might find handy. These include sites dealing with security, as well as a few links that are useful for tracking down information on intruders.
This is my own little pet project. The Trojan Zoo catalogs what I've learned by running various trojan horse programs (safely tucked away inside a network of virtual machines). You might find both the Zoo and the associated Zoo Tech section interesting reading.
